Two novels where life of heroes and historical events are intertwined.

             Murray Pura “ZO” and “All the light we cannot see”

            Books of these two authors attract me because their plot describes a life – a being and emotions of one or two people in line with occurring important historical events. The fates of the heroes from these books are very controversial, their lives are full of feelings, emotions and dreams, they are looking at everything around them with their eyes wide open – the war, the hunger, revolution, and possibly – not understanding totally those events which occur around them. Emotions and feelings of the heroes – like lenses through which the reader looks at the truth of the events of those times.

            In the plots of these books the events of more than one hundred years period back have been described. And, it seems that love stories and lives of people intertwined with stories from historical schoolbooks.

            In these two books - Murray Pura “ZO” and “All the light we cannot see” the fates and feelings of the heroes, their emotions and personal understanding of all events have been described very delicately and sweetly.

Книги этих двух авторов привлекательны для меня тем, как они описывают жизнь – быт и переживания одного или двух людей на фоне происходящих важных исторических событий. Судьбы героев этих книг противоречивы, их жизни полны переживаний, страданий и мечтаний, они смотрят на всё происходящее вокруг широко открытыми глазами – войну, голод, революцию, возможно – не всегда понимая те события, которые происходят вокруг них. Эмоции и чувства героев – словно линзы через которые читатель смотрит на правду событий того времени.

В этих двух книгах описываются события более чем столетней давности. В их книгах, словно соединились истории любви и жизни людей и учебники по истории которые мы читали в школе.

В книгах о войне, которые мы читали по школьной программе – с момента, когда начиналась война – обычная жизнь словно останавливалась – и мы читали описание фронтовых событий, в основном, про войну, про сражения. Но в книгах, о которых я пишу - Murray Pura “ZO” and “All the light we cannot see”- очень тонко описаны судьбы и переживания людей, их взгляды, чувства, эмоции, понимание происходящего вокруг.
