Fall & studies

My association with fall is always “studies”. This, obviously, brings meeting new people, new experience, acquiring new knowledge. Streets are full of children in school uniform, students and a spirit of something new. In the beginning of 40-s of the last century, in US, style “preppy” came into fashion. It stayed popular till 90s, as the subculture created by pupils of schools and colleges. Preppy – shortly means “pre-college preparatory” (as a uniform for study). At present, this style gains popularity again, in opposite to the “grunge” style. For my preppy look of the fall I chose “chino” pants and bluse with flower print.

Осень у меня всегда ассоциируется с учебой. Встреча новых людей, новый жизненный опыт, приобретение новых знаний. Улицы заполняются детьми в школьной форме, студентами и ожиданием чего-то нового. В начале 40-х годов годов прошлого века, в Америке, в моду вошел стиль «преппи». Он оставался популярен до 90-х годов, как субкультура созданная учениками престижных школ и колледжей. Преппи – сокращенно от “pre-college preparatory” (как униформа для учебы). В наши дни этот стиль снова набирает популярность, в противоположность стилю «гранж». Для осеннего образа «преппи» я выбрала брюки «chino” и белую блузку с цветочным принтом.
